Two children were accidentally locked in cars in St. Catharines yesterday.
The first incident happened around 12:25 p.m. yesterday afternoon at a St. Catharines' home in the Facer and Grantham Ave area.
The caregiver had inadvertently locked the child and the keys in the vehicle. Working quickly, the driver was able to get into the car and the unhurt child was assessed by paramedics.
Around the same time, police and paramedics were called to a grocery store parking lot in the Welland Ave and Bunting Road area.
Again, a child had been accidentally locked in the vehicle.
The caregiver broke a window before emergency services could arrive and got the child out unharmed.
Police say in both cases the children were never left alone.
