Two teens from Niagara Falls were arrested after reports of a person with a gun.
On New Year's day just before 1:30 p.m. police were called to the area of Doris Drive and Shaw Street as a local resident called 911 to report seeing an argument between two people with one pointing a firearm at another person.
Officers and members of the K9 Unit attended the area and established a perimeter in order to try and locate the suspect.
The NRP's police service dog Bronson and his handler led officers to the area of Oldfield Road and Drummond Road where they arrested two teens for weapons related offenses.
A 16 year old boy is facing charges of pointing a fire arm and uttering threats.
A 13 year old male from Niagara Falls was released to a parent without charges.
Police recovered a replica handgun at the conclusion of the K9 track.
The youth was held in custody pending a bailing hearing today in St. Catharines.
NRP say this was a targeted incident.
