Two of Ontario's major teachers' unions say the province needs to make its latest contract proposals in bargaining talks rather than at a press conference.
The Education Minister said his govenrment tabled the latest round of concessions weeks ago, but both the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation and Ontario English Catholic
Teachers' Association say the proposals are brand new.
OSSTF's Harvey Bischof says they don't know any of the details surrounding e-learning but says there is an opportunity to negotiate if the government puts the proposal on the table.
Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association President President Liz Stuart says her union needs time to consider.
OECTA has previously said it's willing to accept a one per cent salary increase if the government backed down on a number of other issues including class sizes and e-learning.
