A pair of crashes involving pedestrians are under investigation by Niagara police.
The first happened yesterday when a 32 year old woman was struck on Niagara Street near Geneva in St. Catharines around 6:00 p.m. last night.
Police say the woman was crossing the street and stepped into the path of a car driven by an 82 year old St Catharines man.
Four hours later, a 21 year old man was struck by a Lexus driven by a 72 year old man while trying to cross Dieppe Road.
Both victims suffered life threatening injuries and were taken to out of region hospitals in critical condition.
Neither driver suffered any injuries.
