RCMP say they have arrested 11 people, including two Sunwing Airlines employees, in connection to a drug-trafficking ring allegedly operating out of Toronto's Pearson airport.
The Mounties say raids conducted in the Greater Toronto Area this week infiltrated several groups allegedly trafficking fentanyl and other drugs.
They say those arrested face more than 40 drug-related charges.
Police say the trafficking ring allegedly attempted to import the illicit drugs to parts of southwestern Ontario.
They say officers seized 10 kilograms of fentanyl, 1.3 kg of heroine, 30 kg of marijuana, meth and $400,000 in cash.
