Two elementary schools in Thorold will be combining into one.
Officials with the Niagara Catholic Board have announced the Ministry of Education has approved a request to add an addition to Monsignor Clancy Catholic Elementary School.
Monsignor Clancy will then consolidate with St. Charles Catholic Elementary School.
The new, combined school will now span Kindergarten to Grade 8 and will re-adopt the name Our Lady of the Holy Rosary.
Construction to add an addition to the Monsignor Clancy building is set to begin next month and last for 12 - 16 months.
The addition/renovation includes over 100 new pupil places, bringing the full capacity of the school to 700 students.
