Hamilton Police have arrested two brothers from Quebec for human trafficking after two women were discovered in a rental home.
On Saturday, February 29th, 2020, shortly before 4:00 p.m., officers received information from the Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline regarding two women in distress.
The women were at a local Airbnb where they were allegedly forced to work in the sex trade industry.
A short time later, uniform patrol officers attended the area of Ferguson Avenue North and Simcoe Street East.
Through investigation, police identified and arrested two men.
The women were located and taken to safety.
Hamilton Police believe there may be witnesses and additional victims who have not been identified and they are urged to come forward.
21 year old Anthony Dignard is charged with trafficking in persons, and procuring for sexual services.
22 year old Sulyvan Dignard is charged with trafficking in persons, material benefit - trafficking persons, procuring for sexual services, advertising sexual services, utter threat to cause bodily harm, and fail to comply with recognizance.
