The new food guide seems to be leaving a bitter taste in some industry officials mouths.
The revamped food guide was released yesterday, urging Canadians to eat a more plant based diet and make water their drink of choice.
The President of Teamsters Canada, the union representing 5,000 diary workers has come out saying, "The new food guide only shows how unreliable the government is when it comes to nutrition advice."
He goes on to say the new food guide relies heavily on information from the U.S. government, which can be susceptible to lobbying and special interest groups.
