Along with all the glitzy ads during the Superbowl, Unifor took aim at General Motors.
Last night, Canadian households who tuned in to watch the Pats trounce the Rams saw a commercial paid for by the union, despite a letter from the automaker calling for its removal.
Officials with GM call the ad 'misleading and inaccurate', noting that the company repaid their loans from the 2009 bail out.
The commercial, which reportedly cost more than $200,000, comes as GM moves forward with plans to shutter the plant in Oshawa at the end of the year.
However, officials with the company have said they remain committed to plants in St. Catharines and Ingersoll.
