A coalition of unions has scheduled a news conference today to update their charter challenge of Bill 124, the legislation that has capped public sector wage increases at one percent.
It is one of the major sticking points in negotiations between the province and the major teacher's unions.
Teachers are asking for a two percent increase.
Officials with the Ontario Federation of Labour, the Canadian Union of Public Employees and the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations will be at Queen's Park this morning at 9 am to update the public on their effort to get the courts to quash Bill 124 on the grounds it infringes on collective bargaining rights.
