Vancouver man is to appear in a Brampton court for a bail hearing today after being charged in an alleged assault on a WestJet flight.
Police say a flight that took off yesterday from Pearson International Airport was diverted back to the Toronto shortly after takeoff for mechanical reasons.
It's alleged that during the return to the airport, a passenger became unruly, assaulted a flight attendant and also caused minor damage in the plane's bathroom.
Sixty-eight-year-old Randy Paholko is charged with assault, endangering an aircraft and two counts of mischief.
He's being held in custody pending his bail hearing.
