The Victoria Day long weekend is usually noted as the unofficial start to the summer, but temperatures this weekend will have it feeling more like March than May.
Environment Canada's Geoff Coulson tells 610 CKTB it won't be your typical May 2-4 weekend with temperatures on Saturday forecast to reach just 13 degrees and 70 percent chance of rain on Sunday.
He says a system from Texas could bring isolated thunderstorms in some areas as well.
Coulson says the cooler temperatures will likely stick around for the rest of the month.
"Even after we get through the holiday monday, we will briefly get into seasonal temperatures Tuesday with a high of 21," Coulson told CKTB.
"But then that cool air comes back down with forecast highs down into the midteens, a good five or six degrees below seasonal"
Coulson says if you're looking for good news on the forecast you might have to wait a few weeks, with the first few weeks of June expected to be below seasonal.
