A 16 year old boy has died following a crash in Fort Erie.
Police say a Dodge SUV and a BMW car crashed at 2:30 Monday afternoon on Garrison Road at Helena Street.
The SUV was being driven by a 17 year old boy from Ennismore, which is near Peterborough with five Fort Erie teen passengers.
A 63 year old Niagara Falls man was the only person inside the BMW.
The collision caused the Dodge to roll onto its roof and come to final rest within the intersection.
A 16 year-old boy was seated in the Dodge and received life-threatening injuries.
He was rushed to a trauma center in Western New York but succumbed to his injuries shortly after his arrival.
All other occupants involved in this collision received minor injuries.
The name of the boy is not being released at this time.
Investigators are requesting that residents and businesses in the area of the intersection review any surveillance or dash camera footage that may have captured the involved vehicles approach to the intersection and/or the collision itself.
