We now know why the Burgoyne Bridge was briefly closed last night.
Niagara Regional Police say a lane of traffic was closed for about 10 minutes after a motorist saw a bike hanging from the side of the bridge.
Police closed one lane of traffic briefly at 5:50pm to investigate and remove the bike.
No further information was given by police.
The bridge has been in the news lately with two suicides taking place within a week.
Various agencies met this week to discuss ways to help people in need of mental health help including installing signs at the bridge.
The signs with a 24/hour crisis hotline are now posted below the bike lane sign at the entrance of the bridge.
