Canadian Niagara Power says 1700 customers are still with electricity after Thursday`s powerful windstorm.
Hardest hit areas include Port Colborne and Fort Erie.
The utility reports CNP system operators, linemen, electricians, technicians, engineers are all working along with excavators, locators and tree trimmers 24/7 to restore power.
CNP says it's a huge effort involving coordination, scheduling, patience and safety.
This wind event was one of the most significant CNP says it's ever seen.
