A cat has been reunited with her family after travelling more than 50 km and ending up in the care of the Lincoln County Humane Society.
Yesterday two passersbys, who happened to visiting here from Chicago, stopped on the QEW after they saw a cat jump from the back of a moving truck.
They were able to catch her and eventually brought her to the LCHS to get looked at.
Other than some superficial injuries and a lost nail, she was fine.
However, scanning the microchip revealed the cat, named Minnie, had quite the journey; she lives with her owner, Robert, in Milton.
A quick call later and Robert and his grateful three year old daughter arrived at the LCHS around 1pm to pick up the cat.
