Toronto police say a child is expected to recover after falling off a railing at a school.
Const. David Hopkinson says a child from Dundas Junior Public School was sliding off a railing and fell down a distance of eight to 10 stairs.
Hopkinson says police got the call around 11:30 a.m.
He says the child suffered a head injury but has since regained consciousness.
Hopkinson says the child is being monitored at hospital as a precaution.
He says the child's condition was initially described as life threatening.
