A tragic accident has claimed the lives of at least two kittens in Niagara.
Just before 8 o'clock this morning the OPP received a call from a driver on the QEW in Fort Erie reporting that kittens were being thrown from a vehicle near Sodom Road.
Officers pulled over a vehicle being driven by a 54 year old Fort Erie woman in the area of Dorchester and Morrison in Niagara Falls.
Police investigated, and found the driver had no idea about what happened, and it's possible that three kittens had climbed under her car seeking warmth overnight and she unknowingly started her drive.
Tragically two kittens died as a result of falling from the moving vehicle.
A third kitten was seen running away, but it has not been located.
Officers found no evidence that the kittens had been inside the drivers area or in contact with driver.
No charges will be laid.
