The death toll has climbed to at least eight after a lone gunman opened fire during Shabbat services at a synogague in Pittsburgh

The death toll has climbed to at least eight  after a lone gunman opened fire during Shabbat services at a synogague in Pittsburgh.  

Three officers were  also shot. No word on their injuries

It happened while a family was also celebrating the circumcision of their baby boy - a ceremony known as a bris.  

Spokesman Chris Togneri with the city of Pittsburgh says the suspect is in custody - but police are still inspecting the building.
