It looks like Niagara residents will have to suffer through at least one more day of bitterly cold temperatures.
An extreme cold warning is still in effect for all of Niagara, with temperatures through the morning expected to feel like the minus 30.
At these temperatures, frostbite is possible in just moments - symptoms include white or grayish skin that feels waxy, unusually firm, or numb.
In light of the bitter cold, all crossing guards in the City of Niagara Falls have been cancelled for today and families are asked to make alternate arrangements for safe travel to school.
We are looking at quite the temperature swing for the weekend however - it might almost feel balmy with a high of minus one.
