A freezing rain warning continues for Niagara, but some parts will see it transition to rain soon.
Environment Canada's Gerald Cheng tells CKTB while most parts of the region are seeing freezing rain or ice pellets the south-end of the region will get relief soon.
He says the freezing rain warning for the Lake Erie facing portion of the region will be dropped within a few hours.
Cheng says the north end of the region, which faces Lake Ontario will have to endure a longer period of freezing rain.
He says the warning will likely remain in effect until 4-5pm this afternoon.
Cheng says while freezing rain warnings will be called off by this evening, they have issued a wind warning.
He says wind gusts will be picking up overnight reaching 80 k/hr.
Strong winds will stick around tomorrow morning as well.
More snow is also on the way with 2cm predicted tonight and 2-4cm tomorrow.
Cheng says blowing snow and strong winds will make for another difficult drive into work tomorrow.
CKTB's Storm Desk remains in effect with lots of cancellations and closures across Niagara.
