The Hamilton Conservation Authority warning water levels in Lake Ontario are expected to remain high through much of the summer.
In fact, the HCA is forecasting the levels will most likely surpass the record set in 2017 by a couple of centimetres.
The current water level is already 82 centimetres above the average for this time of the year.
The high water levels have forced the closure of waterfront trails in Hamilton, parts of Lakeside Park in Port Dalhousie and the beach at Charles Daley Park in Lincoln.
