Niagara Peninsula Energy says West Lincoln was hardest-hit in yesterday's powerful windstorm.
Spokesperson Sue Forcier says at one point, the entire community was with out electricity for a couple of hours.
At the height of the storm, about 50,000 NPEI customers lost power.
Most power has been restored. About 20 customers were still waiting as of 8:00 a.m.
Meantime, Alectra Utilities says power has been restored to most customers in St. Catharines after yesterday's powerful windstorm.
There are still a few pockets without electricty, but there's no estimated time of restoration.
Ron Tripp, Commissioner of Public Works for Niagara Region, tells CKTB News crews were dealing with downed trees last night.
But he says the big problem was the traffic signals and crews continue to work on them this morning.
