An OPP officer is recovering at home after being hit and dragged by a car during a traffic stop.
Peel Region police say Constable Patrick Chatelain was conducting a traffic stop in Mississauga shortly before 9 a-m yesterday when the driver tried to flee but struck the officer and dragged him along the road.
Peel police first said the officer's injuries were life-threatening, but his condition improved and he was later discharged from hospital.
Police found the suspect vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot and later said they had arrested one suspect but did not indicate if charges had been laid.
