Niagara Police now say a shooting in St. Catharines was targeted.
Police responded to reports of shots fired in the Church and Niagara Street area around 3:45 p.m. yesterday afternoon.
When they arrived on scene they discovered three victims – two were airlifted to an out of region trauma centre with critical injuries, while the third was taken to a local hospital.
Police and the OPP have been working through the night at three locations in the city. The NRP have requested warrant for one residence.
Two suspects remain at large.
The first is described as a black man in his early twenties. He is around 5'11" with a slim build, short hair, and earrings. At the time he wore a black shirt with white writing on the front, black shorts with white on the sides, and he carried change in the pockets.
The second suspect is also a black man in his early twenties, 6'3" with a muscular build and dreadlocks in a ponytail tucked inside a black hat. He wore a black shirt and grey track pants.
Both suspects are considered armed and should not be approached. If located, residents are asked to call 911 immediately.
