Niagara Regional Police officers spent most of the day in Welland following a report of a suspicious package.
Police were called to the area of Denistoun St. between Lincoln and Hooker around 9:30 this morning after a bag was discovered near the entrance of Parkway Village apartment.
A police robot was used to investigate.
Some residents were asked evacuate the first few floors just to be safe.
Just after 1pm, the investigation determined that there was no foul play criminality.
The area is being reopened to traffic.
