Niagara police have made an arrest in connection with an investigation that began in Farmington, Utah.
Police say authorities in Utah began the investigation after receiving a complaint through the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children regarding activity between two users on a popular online messaging platform.
U-S officials arrested a gynaecologist and a 41 year old man on child porn charges.
As the investigation continued they contacted Niagara police about a local resident accused of sharing child porn and child exploitation material through a cloud storage app.
Niagara police then moved in and searched a Thorold home yesterday where they seized computer systems and storage media.
They also arrested 37 year old Marc Seguin charging him with Possession of Child Pornography, Accessing Child Pornography, and Distributing Child Pornography.
