Tears and cheers as the Humboldt Broncos hockey team played their first regular season game since last April's deadly bus crash.
The names and numbers of the the victims were raised to the rafters at the Elgar Petersen Arena last night.
The 29 yellow and green banners honoured the 13 injured and remembered the 16 who died when the Bronco's bus crashed at a rural intersection.
The Broncos came up short in the home opener falling 2-1 to the Nipawin Hawks, the same team the Bronco's were travelling to play when their bus crashed.
