The one-year anniversary of the Quebec City mosque shooting will be commemorated over a period of four days in Quebec starting today.
On January 29th, 2017, a shooter entered the city's Islamic cultural centre killing six worshippers, and injuring 19 others.
Following a weekend of events, the commemoration ends Monday evening, the anniversary of the shooting, with a vigil.
Meantime, the Niagara Anti-Racism Coalition along with the St. Catharines Islamic Society, have organized an event to commemorate the first anniversary as well.
The multi faith event is set for tomorrow at the Al Noor Masjid Mosque in St. Catharines starting at 7:00 pm.
In a release, the group says the event will feature a conversation of reflection and hope as it marks the 2017 mass shooting at the Islamic Cultural Centre in Quebec City.
