Vintners in Niagara and across the province have their fingers crossed the Trudeau Liberals will make good on a budget proposal to relax inter provincial barriers around wine sales.
Included in last week's pre election budget a promise to remove the requirement that alcohol moving from one province to another must be sold or consigned to a provincial liquor authority.
So in other words, you could buy directly from a winery in B.C. and have the vino delivered to your door without having to order it through the LCBO.
But some wineries are worried the move won't be approved before the fall federal election.
