Violent armed home robbery has NRP searching for three suspects

Police in St. Catharines are looking for three suspects following a violent home robbery this afternoon. 

Police in St. Catharines are looking for suspects following a violent home robbery this afternoon. 

It happened around 12:30 p.m. in the area of Third Street Louth and President Crescent. 

NRP say three men armed with handguns forced their way into a home and assaulted an elderly male and female who were home at the time. 

The male victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threating injuries while the female was not hurt. 

The suspects are described as white males, wearing dark masks covering their faces and dark clothing. 

They fled the scene in a black car.

Detectives do not believe at this time that this was a random incident.
