While their retail store is closing, fans of Voortman's Cookies don't have to worry, you will still find your favourites in the grocery store aisle.
The Burlington based factory is closing its retail outlet on the North Service Road because of the pandemic.
In a statement on its Facebook page, the company says "We have made the tough decision to permanently close our retail store located in Burlington. This decision was not made lightly but was necessary due to the store’s direct proximity to the manufacturing facility. This enables us to continue safely baking our cookies while ensuring the safety of our production staff."
But the ovens will keep baking the same delicious cookies Voortman's has been making since it opened in 1951, first in Toronto, then five years later in Burlington.
