Wainfleeters will be seeing a tax bump of 3.16 percent as councillors pass the municipality's 2018 budget.
The Welland Tribune reports an average home worth around $251,000 will see an increase of around $51.85 this year.
One of the biggest contributors to the increase comes from 1.2 percent added to the infrastructure levy to help pay for road and building repairs.
Council also decided to push a proposed skateboard park and walking trail to next year to keep costs down.
