A special moment at Niagara Regional Council last night as 'Niagara's Walt Disney' was honoured.
Councillors Barbara Greenwood and Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati present Dan Bouwman with the T. Roy Adams Humanitarian of the Year Award.
Bouwman, who owns Dan's Produce, founded Heartland Forest, and has also worked with Tender Wishes and the Special Olympics.
Diodati praised Bouwman during the meeting calling him 'Niagara's own Walt Disney.'
