The Lincoln County Humane Society continues to search for the owner of an exotic lizard that stopped traffic in the Garden City.
Traffic ground to a halt Friday on Westchester Crescent when a dangerous water monitor lizard was spotted crossing the road.
A short while later the LCHS received a call from a resident on Clayburn Avenue about a reptile in their backyard.
The homeowner put a blue bin over the lizard trapping it until animal rescue arrived.
The lizard, which is prohibited under St. Catharines' bylaws, will be moved to Reptilia Reptile Kingdom in Vaughn.
