We are learning more about the substance that police say caused a pair of Milton teens to pass out.
In mid-May, police administered Naloxone to two 18 year old men outside a house party after they smoked what they believed was salvia.
Lab testing shows the substance was actually a synthetic cannabinoid mimicking the effects of cannabis.
Officials tell us synthetic cannabinoids are illegal in Canada and therefore are untested, unknown, and dangerous.
Health Canada recommends avoiding these products because they can cause severe illness and even death.
Thankfully in this case, officers were able to bring both men back around, and they were later taken to hospital for treatment.
