A Canadian IndyCar driver has surprised his soon-to-be wife by climbing to his feet and standing upright unassisted for the first time since a horrific accident.
Robert Wickens from Guelph suffered a spinal cord injury after a crash in August.
Yesterday he posted a video to social media, showing him rising from his chair and embracing his fiance.
She exclaims, "Look who's standing!" to which he responds, "We're dancing."
Wickens says his goal is to be able to dance during the couple's wedding in September.
