While residents in St. Catharines will fork out more for their water this year, residents in Niagara Falls will pay less.
Niagara Falls City Council passing their water and waste water budget last night, which will see rates drop 2.8 per cent from 2016.
It means the average resident will pay about $25.70 less.
The new rate takes effect April 1st.
On Monday St. Catharines Council approved a two per cent hike in water and wastewater rates.
