Waterloo Regional Police say a young officer did not falter when she was called to help with an unusual duty -- helping to deliver a baby.
A spokeswoman says Constable Kate Wagner had responded to a call about a woman in distress inside an apartment in Kitchener.
When she got there, she found a baby was being born so she quickly assisted the paramedics and comforted the mother.
Both the baby boy and his mom are reported to be healthy and doing well.
