Halloween is spooky over the Great Lakes in Niagara.
Director of the International Centre for Waterspout Research Wade Szilagyi tells CKTB waterspouts and hail are being reported in the Crystal Beach area right now.
He says over the last 24 hours seven waterspouts have been reported over Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.
Szilagyi says very cool air has moved across the Great Lakes sparking disturbances that cause waterspouts.
Waterspouts are weak tornados that form over the water.
Szilagyi says anyone who sees a funnel cloud or waterspout should contact the organization as it helps them create more accurate waterspout forecasts.
