Wayne Olson elected in Pelham

Pelham has a new Ward One councillor.

Wayne Olson will serve for the remainder of council's term after securing 58 percent of the vote.

He is filling the role left vacant by the death of Mike Coilfi.

According to the preliminary results, only 27 percent of eligible Ward One voters cast a ballot despite two days of advanced polls.

Residents directly affected by COVID-19 were allowed to use mail-in ballots.

Olson will be sworn in before the September 21st meeting.
