The Weather Network says we're in for a mixed bag of winter weather, and that nobody is really getting off easy this year.
The network is out with its winter predictions today.
Western Canada is set to have warmer than normal temperatures, while the eastern half of the country will experience a long-lasting and colder-than-normal season.
The network's Doug Gilham says December in Niagara will be volatile and isn't ruling out a white Christmas.
"December 5th through the 10th will deliver quite an arctic blast into Southern Ontario, mid December will probably see some breaks a white Christmas is not lost but we could still see some mild weather before Christmas"
He says it's the second half of winter that isn't looking good.
Gilham says the model forecast right now is showing no signs of an early spring in Niagara.
