The spring equinox is approaching, but the Weather Network says winter will not give up easily this year.
The weather service is out with its spring forecast cautioning March is known for its stormy winter weather.
Chief Meteorologist Chris Scott says this spring will be in a particularly volatile mood and leave many of us looking at the calendar and wandering if winter is still with us.
Scott says winter will have several parting shots following the current spring tease.
March is expected to bring periods of colder weather for Ontario along with a higher than normal chance of winter storms.
He notes while there will be periods of significant warmth, chillier stretches of weather will win out overall.
