This is a day when weather differs greatly in Niagara depending on where you live.
Blizzard-like conditions have hit some parts of Niagara.
This picture shows what conditions are like on the QEW in St.Catharines at 12:30pm, compared to the QEW in Fort Erie at the exact same time.
There is a snow squall warning for South Niagara--including Niagara Falls, Welland and Fort Erie.
Snow is now hitting the area and up to 15 centimetres of snow is expected to fall today, and another 15 tonight.
The squalls are resulting in white out conditions so travel is not advised.
In north Niagara (St.Catharines, Grimsby etc) flurries are expected today with about 2 cm falling.
All of the region is under an extreme cold weather warning with temperatures falling to minus 16 overnight and minus 19 tomorrow afternoon.
