This is apparently the calm before the storm.
A special weather statement continues for Niagara with snow and very cold temperatures on the way.
Environment Canada is predicting snow and blowing snow tonight with 5 to 10 cm expected to fall.
The temperature will rise to minus 1 this evening and then fall overnight making it feel like minus 19 with the windchill.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) flurries and blowing snow will continue with 2 to 4 cm predicted.
The temperature falling to minus 8 in the afternoon.
Snow continuing tomorrow evening with another 2 cm falling.
Originally forecasters thought the snow would start earlier today, but it has held off.
The latest forecast shows snow starting in Niagara at around 7pm.
Grimsby and St.Catharines will most likely get higher amounts of snow, as South Niagara (Niagara Falls, Fort Erie) will get less.....for once.
