Niagara Regional Police have charged a Welland man in connection with a break in at the Royal Canadian Legion in the city. 

Niagara Regional Police have charged a Welland man in connection with a break in at the Royal Canadian Legion in the city. 

On April 21, 2019 suspects broke into the Welland branch through a basement window and stole items which included a safe and a quantity of cash.

52 year old Tony Peterson of Welland is charged with Break and Enter, and Possession of Proceeds of Crime. 

In addition, Peterson is charged with 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanly/Heroin and Crystal Methamphetamine.
