A 20 year old Welland man is facing an aggravated assault charge in a weekend stabbing.
Police were called to a residence on Preston Place yesterday where they found a man suffering a stab wound.
The investigation revealed he had been stabbed at a nearby home on Woodlawn.
Within a few hours, police arrested a lone suspect, identified as Jaevon Kemp.
The victim was taken to hospital, treated and released.
