The feeling of elation after finally scoring a ticket to a dream concert has now left a bitter aftertaste in the mouth of one Welland resident.
Mike Nero was on pins and needles, waiting for Ticketmaster to release the tickets for Paul Simon's upcoming summer show at the Air Canada Centre.
His patience paid off, nabbing a highly coveted floor seat for the show less than two minutes after the tickets went on sale.
But two weeks later, an email from Ticketmaster snatched that joy away, saying the ticket had been sold to him by mistake.
"The best answer they have told me is that the ticket was 'double-sold,' and I don't know what that means, really," Nero says.
Although they've offered him a new seat further back from the stage and a paltry $25 in compensation, Nero says he's going to continue to fight for the ticket he rightfully bought and paid for.
"I'm planning on trying to get my original seat back that I purchased and received a confirmation for one minute and fifty-five seconds after the tickets when on sale."
