The Welland and District SPCA are investigating a case where a dog was released from a vehicle.
On January 5th at approximately 1:30pm, Welland and District SPCA was sent to the area of Erie Avenue South near Concession 5 Road in Fisherville, Halidimand County.
They had received information that a male and a female operating a white, older model, four door car had released a female, black and tan Rottweiler from their vehicle.
After released the dog, they fled the area.
When investigators arrived they found that the dog had sustained facial trauma.
After the dog was taken to a veterinarian, it was determined that the facial trauma did not occur when the dog was released.
The female suspect is described as white woman in her mid to late 40's, with blonde hair.
The male suspect is described as a white man also in his mid to late 40's, with brown hair and a goatee.
