A West Lincoln councillor is being asked to apologize for breaching the code of conduct after a heated debate over the Multi Use Recreational Site.
The Integrity Commissioner, Suzanne Craig, investigated a complaint from a January 23rd meeting of council.
Councillor Dave Bylsma is accused of trying to "maliciously and falsely divide the community" by saying he had 'no knowledge' about what was happening with the MURS.
A report from the Integrity Commissioner says Bylsma insisted Councillor Terry Bell and members of the Public Works Recreation Arena committee had 'transgressed' rules of the Municipal Act.
Council accepted the report and approved the resolution calling for a formal reprimand and asking Bylsma to publicly apologize in the next 30 days.
